Such is the house hunt. Viewed two houses today--both were really fantastic. Truly fantastic.
EXCEPT...
The first had a nice basement--but it was about two inches taller than me. So if Rimas ever wants to play his upright bass upright, we would've had to cut a hole in the ceiling.
The second had a peculiar GIANT HOLE in the wall of the basement, which led to a DUG OUT basement addition which was just piles of dirt. The best part is that the GIANT HOLE in the CONCRETE WALL was casually covered by a sheet that the owner had hung up. When I asked him about his plans to fix said hole, he stammered for half a minute and never gave me a straight answer. When I asked him why the basement was dug out like that, he stammered for another half minute and finally said he didn't know. So then I asked him if there were bodies inside. Instead of stammering a response to that, he just smiled.

i heard a rumor that you found a house with a normal size basement... is this true??
So tell us about your new basement. Any interesting mounds? Fresh cement work? Unusual, detached voices? You know, just the regular stuff.
ben, what gives?
ben, you should come back to the blogosphere.
Hey Ben, glad to see you have a blog. Umm, I have good news to tell you. I'm not sure if I have your number right in my phone, so you should give me a call, or email me, jared.gibbons@gmail.com
